How to Attract Agents to eXp Realty: What Actually Works

Learn how to attract agents to eXp Realty through personal branding, consistent content, real support, and relationships. Gogo Bethke shares her approach.

How to Attract Agents to eXp Realty

If you want to attract agents to eXp Realty, show them why they would want to build their business alongside you. Teach what you know. Share what you are doing. Let people see the support you provide, and keep showing up long enough for them to get to know you.

Explaining the brokerage is part of the conversation. But you cannot build your entire attraction strategy around a commission split that another eXp agent can explain just as easily.

Since joining eXp in 2018, I have built #teamgogo to more than 1,700 agents across 46 states and seven countries, with over $18 billion in total production across the organization. And I have spent zero dollars on paid advertising to attract agents.

I share my life, my business, what I have learned, and what we are building. People get to watch before they ever reach out. When we finally talk, we are often continuing a conversation they have been having with my content for months.

Here is what actually goes into that.

What Is an eXp Realty Sponsor, Really?

Your sponsor is the agent you identify as having most influenced your decision to join eXp Realty. Your brokerage is still eXp, regardless of who sponsors you.

Choosing a sponsor does not automatically mean joining a traditional real estate team or agreeing to a team commission split. #teamgogo is a sponsorship organization made up of independent agents and teams. You can run your own business and be part of our organization.

You do not pay me a percentage of your commission for being your sponsor. Eligible sponsors can earn revenue share paid by eXp from the brokerage’s portion of qualifying transactions. It is not an additional sponsor fee taken out of your commission.

But understand this before you choose anyone: the sponsor title does not automatically include coaching, mentorship, or personal access. Those are things you need to ask about.

And if you want to attract agents yourself, this is where you start. What can someone actually count on you for after they join?

How Do You Actually Attract Agents to eXp Instead of Just Recruiting Them?

I think agents make this harder than it needs to be because they believe they need the perfect pitch.

Start with something useful.

Maybe you are great at open houses. Maybe you have a follow-up process that keeps buyers from disappearing. Maybe you built a referral business or hired an assistant who finally got you out of your inbox.

Share it. Explain how it works. Give someone something they can use in their business today.

You do not need an organization of 1,700 agents to help one agent. But you do need to give people a reason to pay attention.

Make your profile explain why someone should follow you

If I land on your page, can I tell what you do, who you help, and what I can learn from you? Can I find a way to contact you without becoming a private investigator?

Your bio, your posts, and your links should make that easy.

Personal branding for real estate agents goes beyond having professional photos and matching colors. People need to understand how you think, what you know, and what it might be like to work with you.

I share my family, my business, my opinions, and the freedom I have worked to build. That gives agents more to connect with than another post announcing that eXp is amazing.

Show up before you need something

You cannot disappear for three weeks, post “Who wants to join my team?” and wonder why nobody is jumping.

I am a 20-stories-a-day kind of person. You do not have to copy my exact schedule, but you do have to understand that people need repeated opportunities to see you and get familiar with you.

Answer questions. Share lessons. Show what happens inside your organization. Talk about the work behind the results, and celebrate other agents with their permission.

That consistency is work. Zero paid advertising does not mean zero effort. I have put years into being visible and building relationships.

Give people a clear next step

When an agent is interested, what should they do?

Make it obvious. Watch a video. Send you a message. Book a call. Whatever your process is, people should not have to guess.

Then listen when you get on the phone. Ask about their business, what is working, what is missing, and where they want to go. You cannot explain how you could help if you spend the whole call talking about yourself.

And follow up. An agent can be interested today and ready six months from now. Keep the relationship going without making every conversation about transferring their license.

What Should You Look for Before You Choose an eXp Sponsor?

Ask these questions before you choose anyone, including me.

Is there a training system I will actually use?

Ask what the training covers, when it happens, and whether recordings are available. At #teamgogo, we have weekly Wednesday training and a private library of recorded sessions and resources. But the important question is whether that training helps with what you need to learn.

What happens after onboarding?

Who answers your questions? Where do you go for help? If someone mentions VA team access or marketing support, ask what that includes. Get a clear explanation instead of filling in the blanks yourself.

What access do I have to the sponsor?

A group call and a private coaching session are different things. So are direct phone access and support through a team. Ask what applies to you and how that access works.

Have they built something relevant to where I want to go?

If you want to grow production, look for experience in growing production. If you want to build systems or learn agent attraction, ask about those things.

The best eXp sponsor for you is someone whose experience, support, and way of doing business fit your goals. A big following alone does not answer that question.

Why Agents Choose #teamgogo

I have spent years building resources and relationships that our agents can use in their own businesses.

That includes weekly live training, a private resource library, Agent Attraction Gogo’s Bootcamp, VA team support, and a network of agents who can connect, collaborate, and build referral relationships.

You can see the current details on our #teamgogo sponsorship benefits page. There is no additional #teamgogo sponsorship fee for the included resources. Your brokerage fees and separate business expenses still apply.

But I do not want agents joining just to collect another login they never use. Get connected. Come to training. Ask the question. Meet the people. Use what is available to you.

And if you are building your own organization, take that lesson with you. Start with support you can deliver consistently, and help people actually use it. You do not have to promise everything to be valuable.

What Changes Once You Are Actually Supported?

You have someone to ask before spending three days trying to figure out something another agent has already solved. You can practice a conversation, learn a system, or find a resource that helps you move forward.

You still have to do the work. Having access to training does not follow up with your clients for you. Lol.

The same is true of attraction. You can learn from someone experienced, get help preparing for a conversation, and invite support onto a call. You still have to build relationships and follow through.

And keep the expectations honest. Attracting agents does not automatically create income. Revenue share depends on qualifying production and eXp’s program requirements. A bigger roster by itself is not a paycheck.

My goal is to help agents build businesses that support the lives they want. That takes ongoing work, useful systems, and people who show up for each other.

You are not building #teamgogo’s empire. We are helping you build yours.

If you want to see whether our support fits where you are trying to go, here is what partnering with #teamgogo actually includes. Watch the videos, bring your questions, and let’s talk about your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does #teamgogo take a percentage of my commission?

No. Joining the #teamgogo sponsorship organization does not add a commission split payable to Gogo or a #teamgogo sponsorship fee. Your eXp brokerage terms still apply. If you separately join a traditional real estate team, that team may have its own commission agreement.

How many agents are in #teamgogo?

#teamgogo has more than 1,700 agents across 46 U.S. states and seven countries, with over $18 billion in total production across the organization. These are organization-wide figures, not Gogo’s personal sales or a prediction of any individual agent’s results.

Is #teamgogo the same thing as a real estate team?

#teamgogo is an eXp Realty sponsorship organization that includes independent agents and traditional real estate teams. Joining the sponsorship organization does not automatically mean joining a traditional team or agreeing to a separate team commission split.

What do I get access to when I partner with #teamgogo?

Included resources currently listed on Gogo’s partner page include weekly Wednesday training, recorded training and resources, Agent Attraction Gogo’s Bootcamp, VA team support, and a network for collaboration and potential referrals. Review the current benefits and support details with the team before joining.
